DERATISATION OR RODENT CONTROL
The main harmful rodents in Estonia are mice and rats. Both are very fast and highly fertile.
Similar to domestic pests, they invade people’s living and household spaces in search of food and shelter.
Signs of activity and presence of rodents in our properties are:
- Seeing rodents
- Rodent droppings
- Nibbled materials/products/merchandise
- “Chewing crumbs” of different materials
The main damage caused by rodents is:
- Chewing/damaging of people’s property
- Spreading of diseases
- Contamination of food and foodstuffs
- For many, they are simply “scary”
The most basic thing when fighting rodents is preventing their access, that is completely isolating any possible openings. Avoid “luring” them with food, i.e. don’t leave food remnants uncovered in your home.
